MPC5502 Quick Blow 125 ma Fuse in fuser unit

    Hi all

Has anyone came across a part number from Ricoh for this quick blow fuse in the fuser which resets the SC544 error?

I've seen many work arounds on here but was just wondering if Ricoh are supplying this as a spare yet?

Checked all latest tech bulletins on line and parts manual and nothing popping out at me.

        Part #D144fuse.
That one is funny. It comes from Ricoh via Hytec and will cost you around $35 If the $6 version works, that seems to me to be the better choice.

The new hot roller assemblies come with the new fuse too.
It's 106 miles to Chicago. We've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses.

          Hit it.

Just run them with no fuse at all, that's what I do and works a treat

You need the fuse to reset SC5xx codes to make the machine believe a new fuser is fitted.

yep!you need the fuse to reset the 5xx codes,i did fit one assembly but i cant seem to solve a noise problem when the unit is warming and after that the noise stops its like the pressure cam gear rotates more than usual, any ideas?

Did you happen to do an NVRAM reset? There is an SP mode for this that I cannot remember off the top of my head.

Sorry, but I can't remember the actual SP# or what you need to set it to. It's the Pressure Roller timing I think. Anyway Ricoh did a firmware update about a year ago to fix it.
