Ricoh 2238c fax print out issue

Dear all,

we have one 2238c having print out problem with incoming fax or all fax report printing.

Copy & Printing no issue.

only incoming fax/fax report printing got problem and cause paper jam. but using store & view using WEB Image Monitor is ok. print it out also ok.

Exchange fax broad unit still same.

any setting run away?

Sounds like faxes are being printed from a different tray than copy/print..... Can you feed paper from the tray which the faxes are being printed from ok?

Agreed! That's the only thing that makes sense in my opinion. Sounds like 'tray lock' is on for faxes - or at least the default tray is set differently than for the other features, and when you "print" the faxes, it feeds from another tray
Have you actually checked all trays independently?

Edit: Just looked at the samples. I'd suggest you have the incorrect paper size setting on the fax tray.

small problem la...maybe the tray locked...u need to unlock it under the user tools setting...hehe

same kampung, nothing wrong with the Paper size / tray setting in this case. the problem only when receiving fax printing, fax reports printing in all kinds only. no problem on copy & printing in this case. exchange other fax unit not help.

problem here is, the print out (Fax document) become bigger (or enlarge).

Actually, you might want to check the paper drawer to make sure the rack and pinion like gear system that controls the position of the side guides is in good shape.
If this isn't correctable by using adjustments in user tools, it is likely that the paper is just way out of position. That can be caused by the rack gears on the side guides missing some teeth. If that's the case, you can just adjust the guides manually to the correct positions and fix them in place with screws.
