    [Misc] Ricoh Aficio MPC2500, 3500 & 3350

Can anyone tell me if the hard disk in these printers are SATA or IDE? A customer has a few leased systems and wants the HDD data erased before returning to the vendor.

    Thanks - onie

All of them are SATA. IDE drives haven't been used by Ricoh since probably the AF 2xxx series machines.

Actually, the C2500 and 3500 are 3.5” IDE drives (x2 in the C3500), and the 3350 uses a 2.5” Sata

OK sunds correct becasue pictures of HDDs from parts vendors showed IDE. However, I know that many internet sites use just any picture - not the actual HDD.

        Thanks

I can confirm this. The two HD's in the MPC3500 series are installed in a RAID-0 configuration to improve read/write speed performance.
