Generally 3-xxx SP codes are related to Process, normally to do with ID Sensor initialization.

I don't think these models have the 3-xxx SP codes, I remember doing one of these as my first machines and got worried when changing the drum. I certainly don't think you'll find SP mode changes in the 3 section, although I could be wrong. I've never had to touch SP Mode Language myself. What I do know is a Bit Switch on the BICU (?) changes the language into Japanese.

You where right, Thanks. I started this thread by saying MP 1500 but it was MP c1500 and the service mode was in Jap. resolved.
