[Misc] Can't add MP4001 as IP printer or connect over SNMP

Got the machine from the wholesaler, removed @remote by setting SP5-816-3 and 5-816-1 to their default values.

But I can't add the machine as a printer or connect over SNMP.

I can access the WIM and send scans from the machine to my server.

Already checked the service manual but can't find anything.

    Any ideas?

Can you scan and post a configuration page?
It's 106 miles to Chicago. We've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses.

    Hit it.

Are you trying to set up the MFP as an object in AD? I noticed that the domain was missing in the config page.

I'm assuming the IP of the host you are trying to connect from is in the 192.168.1.0/24 network as the config page shows the MFD to have access control enabled for this range?
It's also worthwhile checking that IEEE 802.11 hasn't been enabled accidentally as this will disable the NIC. Failing that you could try resetting the NCS (SP Mode 5801-010 0r 011 if my memory is correct.)

He mentioned that he can do scans from the MFP to his server--not sure if he is talking about a file server or an email server. In this case, this suggests that the NIC is enabled and he can communicate across the network from the MFP.

I meant a file server. But I'll check on monday if I can send scans over the mail server.

Are you connecting through a shared driver via server, or direct IP. If the former, try a direct approach. If you already have, triple-check the connection settings, the cable quality, port quality, user permissions (print management, roaming profile, etc). Lastly, are you trying to print from a Mac (or Mac server) to a machine without a PS option installed?

If all else fails, it could be a faulty controller.
