    SC741 on Finisher SR4030

    Hello all,

    I have an intermittent SC741 on a Ricoh MP7001 with a SR4030 finisher type. I checked all the harness around the stapler unit and it looks good and cleaned the sensors but I don't why it kept throwing this SC741 every other day. Has anyone had this sc code before, please help me out.

      You'll have to replace the staple harness. It's a well known fault on an otherwise good finisher.
      It's 106 miles to Chicago. We've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses.

          Thank you ! you're spot on with the harness. I cut all the tie wraps and found one harness in a bunch broke in half inside the plastic cover.

              Keep another one in stock, for some reason when these finishers start eating staple harnesses, they really go for it. We have a customer whose MP6001 needs one every 6 months or so.
