Greetings to all, I have a problem of misalignment of the laser on a RICOH MP C2800, I ran 2-111, c, b, a, and returns ok, after 24 hours you encounter the same problem, can anyone suggest a solution?

Re: Ricoh MP C2800 laser misalignment
I would look closely at the id sensor array and the transfer belt. I dissasemle the id sensor shutter and clean everything, this works 70% of the time. I have had to replaced the id sensor assy a few times (although usually associated with sc 400). I have also had to replace the ITB even though it looked ok. -
Re: Ricoh MP C2800 laser misalignment
If the ITB and PCU's are ok and you've replaced the ID-sensors, then this might be a solution :
Check SP2-920-001 Transfer Motor Control (Selects the speed control mode for the Transfer Belt).
Make sure this value is 0. I've spent a lot of hours to solve this (together with a Ricoh Tech). See thread :

Re: Ricoh MP C2800 laser misalignment
thank's Eric,Today I cleaned the sensor bar and redid the 2-111, c, b, a, I must say, however, that a couple of times you saw the message I failed again repeated the 'SP and is functioning at this moment, tomorrow I'll see how proceeds and I will check the 'SP 2-920-001Comment

Re: Ricoh MP C2800 laser misalignment
It was a very strange issue. After the problem was solved I checked SP2-920-001 on other machines and the value was always 0. I really don't know why it was set to 1 on the problem machine. The Ricoh tech (with almost 30 years of experience) also had no idea. Like turbojetboy says, the shuttler can also be the cause. It's operated by a solenoid, which can fail sometimes. Removing the shutter might also be a good idea.Comment

Re: Ricoh MP C2800 laser misalignment
If you have deffo fitted a new ITB unit already, then check the devs are within life, worn devs can cause poor music patches for the ID/MUSIC sensors.
Also check your alignment in printer sp test pattern and make sure the actual patches are where they should be. I have had a laser unit assembly or two not engaged within the chassis cavity properly before now, and manual procon and music cant pull it in.. Hope this helps.Comment
