setting up scanning on Savin 4022sp

Thanks to this forum, I was able to diagnose & replace my Savin's failed hard drive. NOw, I need to recreate the pathways to allow me to scan from the Savin to each of my PC's. I cannot remember how to do that thru the Smart Device Monitor. Can amyone help me with this?

Log in to Smart Device Monitor, create a user.Scroll down to folder authenication, enter user name of the pc that you create the share folder, then select change and enter the password of the pc if their is one.Scroll down to the bottom of the page were you see smb(under the path type in the computer name and the share folder name(\\computer\share folder name)

Along with that, I would create additional user names/passwords on the PC's I was scanning to and set them to never change. Then the scanning would rarely 'not work' on their machines.

Also, if you can, put the share in the root directory. It's easier to find and will not get moved around. Then you can set up a shortcut for them. This way you do not have to path it too deep.

I will assume that they are using a M$ machine.

Keep it simple- a user/password that doesn't change and keeping the share in a simple place to use. You may need to modify firewalls unless it has already been done.
