    [Misc] mpc 4500 sp5807 access

    i have a ricoh mpc 4500 with japanese language (in service mode only ) i know how to change it in area selection sp 5807 i have printed sp data log out on another machine and it shows up in the log , but when i go to it on this and other machines it does not show in service mode , it jumps from 5804 to 5810 even in special sm , does any one have a clue how to change this option , im sure i have done this in some older models

    any help is much appreciated

    as suggested by a nice tech on here i have been into factory service mode and set the area selection to eu but service mode still remains in japanese any suggestions welcome

      Have you tried entering special service mode? //107 stop/hold down[*] on the control panel then press [copy sp] on the screen, et voila

        i've seen this before, this fixed the problem>

        from Gooses Guide:

        SP modes ONLY in Japanese - IOB dip switches set wrong, #6=ON, #7&#8 = OFF

          cant find any dips on the iob if u mean controll board that slides in and out i have set the dips on there to your suggestion but no change , ive also pulled another 4500 board out and set them to the same as this and still no change

          i would push it into a corner and try and forget about it but its quite a low meter reading so the boss will want it working grrr lol
