Many many times I have come across customers who were setup with a regular old PCL6 driver on shared computers. And now they want user codes and popup drivers.
I know how to create the popup driver. I also know about going to 'print server properties' to delete the driver package so that the popups will activate correctly.
But is there an easier way to remove the old driver?
What if tomorrow I have a user that requests popups for an existing install of 200 people? The IT time required to log into every workstation and delete the driver store would be immense.
I was trying to use pnputil.exe to remove the installed .inf and it works... except that Windows renames the .inf something random like oem01.inf making a script removing all Ricoh drivers impossible.
This is likely way out of left field, but anyone dealt with this?
