Ricoh Aficio 1022, diagonal stripes but only on scan.

Hi! I have strange issue on 1022. It seems that the machine works fine. Copies are perfect, also prints. But when I try to scan to folder, the otput file (pdf or tiff) has a diagonal stripes on it like some kind of interferences.

Is it firmware problem or something?

I would first try cleaning optics

Maybe your scan resolution differs from your copy resolution. I would start with cleaning the optics (glass , mirrors, lens). If that does not help, see if there are scan quality settings you can adjust. I know on some xerox machines I service you can turn on background suppression individually for copy , scan, email features. Good luck.

Try cleaning first. If that doesn't help I'd try a memory clear on the scanner.... but it will set all scanner presets back to default, and i think you ll have to remove and add the i/o device in scanrouter (assuming that's how you're scanning). I had Lots of weird stuff using scanrouter - from dots to completely blank pages

Switching off filters in scanner section (in service mode) helped.
