[Misc] Macbook cannot print from RICOH

Hi, I am having problem to configure MACINTOSH VERSION 10.8.4 to get a compatible driver for Ricoh Aficio MP2000. It's doesn't seems that there are driver for this Macintosh Version. I had already tried Gutenprint driver 5.2.9 and the Mac PPT driver downloaded from RICOH but it still doesn't work. I have also tried the driver selected from the list of Macintosh driver selection known as the "Ricoh Aficio MP2000 PS" but still doesn't work.

It shows this message when I add the printer using the "Ricoh Aficio MP2000 PS" driver.

"unable to verify the printer on your network, unable to connect to the IP XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX due to an error. Would you like to create the printer?"

But when I PING the IP XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX. There's a respond..

Can someone provide a solutions for this issue?

    Thanks.

You need the PS3-option installed on your machine, otherwise it will not work.

PostScript is a requirement, but it sounds like you've got one of two things happening:

duplicate IP address on the network
SNMP is turned off on the machine or blocked on the network not allowing the Mac to pull the properties of the machine

Print a Config page from the user tools menu
it will tell you if your machine has the PostScript option installed
it is not standard in Ricoh's it is an Option that needs to be installed
