[Misc] MP C8002 PDF print issue

Customer is trying to print to the 8002 a pdf document. It is a 2 page document set to duplex and multiple copies. It stops after the first page prints out and indicates the paper orientation is wrong. You then have to go to the copier and force it to use one of the trays to finish the job. It also stops after page 2 and finishes the job even if you select a higher number to print.

I have tried pcl 5c, 6, and the universal print driver. They all have the same issue.

Customer is using Adobe reader XI to print the documents. I did recommend he try and back date Reader but he didn't really want to do that because all users would have to be changed. He also has a different application that converts pdf and can print them. This also has the same issue.

Make sure the paper orientation in the tray matches what is displayed on screen. If the copy screen shows A4R instead of A4 (or whatever your regional equivalent is) then you may have a faulty size detection switch.

If the fences in the tray are not set correctly, then the machine detects a wrong paper size. Sometimes customers aren't setting the fences in the paper tray correctly.

Also check the job in print preview

There's a little check box on the driver main page that say's select paper by pdf page size. uncheck it if it is checked. It can cause you a bad day......

X2 When Adobe Reader is updated, the default resets to what Tonerbomb says. If you check the print preview, you will see the size scale vertical and horizontal outside the image. Instead of 8.5x11, you might see something like 8.58x11.4.

I had a mortgage company that was having issues printing secured web-based forms with the right orientation & size (mixed original sizes). They were using the universal driver, so I tried the 6002 PCL6 & 5 drivers without any luck. I changed over to the Mp6001 driver and all was fine.
