    MP C4502 SC 672

SC started out as a 598 (I believe) Re-formatted the hard drive cleaned the connectors and now its throwing a SC 672 which is a controller board error I think.

Did you check SP5-875-001? It should be set to 0, according to the manual.

What was the original code? SC598 doesn't exist.

It's worrying, I know, but I'd say that something's fried.

Have you disconnected the HDD and started the machine without it? HDDs are dodgy at the best of times and a failed one can stall your machine into "PLEASE WAIT" that feels like forever, and then BANG the SC code!

If it starts without the drive, remove the HDD and format with the help of a pc. Then re-install in machine and see if it starts.

If it does, then you can reformat it with SP mode.

If the pc wont format it - the disk is cooked and needs replacing.
            Press the GREEN button!!
