Ricoh Aficio MP3500 touch screen issue

I have a Ricoh Aficio MP3500 that has a touch screen issue.

Just after coming out of the energy save mode the buttons on the left side of the touch screen do not work properly.(this can last for many minutes according to customer)

If you touch the button to darken the exposures the icons in the middle of the touch screen will darken like you touch them.

The touch panel will eventually start working properly.

The calibration is right on the machine, I ran the touch panel test operation with no issues and ran a calibration just to cover all bases.

Any ideas on why this happens and seems to correct itself?

clear mode 1993 clear stop 5 times. if this makes it better for a while. then comes back replace the touch panel...

there is some way works some times . some touch screen come to us moisturized .exposed it to heat . or sunlight. i have two touch screen worked. but some times no avail.

I agree, replace the touch screen.

These panels had issues with the glue that was used, which delaminated, and when this happened, all kinds of weird things started happening on the touch panel!

I am new to Ricoh/ Savin copiers, do I have to also order the cushions ( B004 1525 & B004 1526) with the touch panel.

I don't know if they are adheared to the touch panel or not.

For what it is worth, I have not seen any cushions adhered to touch panels, so as long as the cushions you are referring to are not obviously damaged you shouldn't have to replace them.

You won't need the cushions. I have replaced dozens of touch screens, I replaced one on an MP4500 only yesterday, and I've never known the cushions to be damaged in any way

I am attempting to install a replacement touch screen.
Can someone direct me as to where I can get installation instructions or a diagram?
