download error E20 and sc 834

i have a headache aficio 2051sp that has been doing strange things.
2 weeks ago i cldnt get the 2 and 3 tray to go to letter and legal,
and would come up a4 b5 metric..
i set the machine to inches and found after it wldnt take that the machine
went from destination north america to japan..
install a quality surge protector and all is good for 2 weeks.
now it comes up as if i was doing a firmware upgrade and
says download error e20,power off on.
after trying removing print scan card,cleaning all dimms etc it doesnt change.
doing a software reset " * # " it goes to sc 834 after 5 to 10 mins...
is it a system error1 reload system firmware issue?

if so is this the same as the b140 firmware?

I suppose it could be a firmware issue, but it is kind of unlikely.
If you haven't checked already, you should probably check out the paper size settings in user tools, and also make sure all the paper size sensors are in good shape.

Yes it is the exact same firmware as the B140.

thnx,if your reply was for the paper size issues, that was fixxed.somehow the destination got changed..
if you are saying user tool setting can be my problem i really doubt it..

went fishing on my old laptop and cant locate any b140 or b228 firmware,
i know its a shot in the dark but any chance of any good soul s help..
