    i have richo afico mp3550

    I am getting an SC865-01 error.

    I believe this is the Hard disk drive
    how can i format the Hard disk drive

              With a code like SC865 the format will probably fail anyway. Remove the hard disk, plug it into a PC with a caddy then create an NTFS partition on the drive but DON'T format it or assign it a drive letter. Pop it back in the machine and if the drive is actually okay, it will format it itself. If you get any more SC's, the hard drive has had it and needs replacing.

                  SP 5832 is the service program mode you need to enter to format the hdd, im assuming you know how to get in to the service menu
