    Connection error

    Hi all

    Can anyone please help me, I got mp171 when I login into web image monitor it give me "RC GATE CONNECTION ERROR" I changed a controller board but still no luck...

    I did sp5801 and it sorted now thanks HDSB for giving me idea that it can be the settings,

      The answer was to do SP5816-209, that clears the @Remote settings.

      SP5801 is a full engine clear, largely performed as a very last resort. Good luck with that in the future.

        Agreed! Not a big deal on an MP171. But he's lucky it wasn't a colour machine that he performed that trick on.

          Go into Service Mode- Option 5.
          Find Supply Call Alarm.
          0 out Paper, staples, maint. kit, toner etc but make sure to enter # after 0.
          Restart device.

          This clears the gate connection error and it also clears "Supply call failed" error messages.
