    HDD for MP 4000

    Good day to all, is it any way to auto erase the temporary data on the hard disk after you make photocopy or printing. Our client printing confidential document so they want a probe that they document is not store in the hard disk. anyone have idea how to do it, I appreciate if you can send it to me.

    I would imagine that you would have to install a DATA OVERWRITE SECURITY (DOS) kit. That overwrites the data area of the hard disk with random "0" and "1" bits to make the original data unreadable.

    It is a option though, not standard AFAIK.

        It is DOS unit type "I" that you need.

            The fact that there is an installation instruction in the manual, makes me think that it is an option and not standard like on a lot of the later models.
