MPC3000 firmware to allow SMB scanning

Morning all. I know this horse has been beaten enough, but is there any way to get current firmware if i don't have access to Ricoh. Nevere had to create an SD CARD for Ricoh's but have for other brands.Similar? If anyone can help that would be great as I have a customer that scan to email won't work in their application and they can't upgrade to new yet.

Any specifics? Type of program/server? Etc. You can always set up FTP scanning without firmware update, acts the same as SMB. Just register for My Ricoh, it is free and quick. As long as you have a contact within Ricoh, if not you shouldn't be working on these machines.

If it was scan to folder on a newer OS you were asking about, I would agree that firmware would help the situation, but scan to email? I doubt that it will help at all.
You'll need to configure it for an email account that either doesn't require encryption, or use one of the "Gmail workarounds" discussed in detail elsewhere in the forum, etc.
No firmware update will overcome that issue on this machine.

Their scan to email works, but they need scan to folder to work in their program.

Which OS are they trying to scan to?

If they are trying to scan to Win8 or Ser ver 2012, ther are numerous posts concerning the firmware update to allow scan to SMB 3 machines. I believe that someone also posted an edit to either the registry or local policy to allow SMB 2 scanning.
