That's all in the user manuals :

Get help and support with Ricoh products and services. Find information, download software, drivers and manuals, submit meter readings, register your Ricoh products or get in touch.

It doesn't work, of course, but you'd know that if you'd bothered to search for one of the numerous threads on the subject.

In order to make it work with Win 8 or Server 2012, you have to download the Special/Custom NetworkSupport (NCS) firmware dated 4/1/13. Be sure to select Special/Custom from the Tech Tool Box not the Firmware SD.

What is this special/custom firmware? I can't find it on MyRicoh.

Most likely a US only firmware, i.e. will make our machines nice and brickey.

Typical, I'll have to stick to giving customers the finger instead.

Being in the US, I am not yet familiar with MyRicoh. Here in the US we have the Technical Solutions Resource Center, www.tsrc.ricoh-usa.com which provides service access to manuals, bulletins, firmware, etc through Tech Tool Box by machine codes. We also have RFG-esource, rfg-esource.ricoh-usa.com, which is the actual download site and provides the ability to search by machine code or by file name. If MyRicoh allows you to search by file name, the files are rfg043945.zip for remote and rfg043946.zip for SD card. You might also try searching for LRC0466. This brings up a list of Win 8 firmware for 9 different product codes on rfg-esource.

As I said, I am not yet fimiliar with MyRicoh but have heard Ricoh-USA going to MyRicoh, at least for machine and supplies ordering.
