You have posted two posts with the same title. The only difference is the type of developer. Which one is correct?

Should't you be using developer type 24?

The only one suitable is Type 24!

If my memory serves me right, Type 18 is for the Aficio 1018, which is a completely different machine.

I'd say it's some problem with charge corona/bias electronics...it overcharges the drum and he starts taking out developer along with toner, inspect both developing assembly and drum unit, look if charge corona is cowered in toner/developer,and what type of toner do you use?
What are the values of Vsp,Vsg...voltage on charge corona and so on?
I know about using type 21 dev in theese machines instead of type 24 but one has to poar in lower amount of dev 21,I allso know about problems it makes sometimes, too much toner in recycling system, too strong toner density on paper that makes problems in fusing assembly.
There is a reason for Ricoh to use developer type 24 in those machines...it may be unclear to us but who are we to say that we are smarter?
Gears, springs, clutches, sliders, connectors and electronics...who on earth can tell what's wrong with it?
