Machine jams duplexing on the second side before the transport belt when ONLY when ONE copy is selected. If more than one copy is selected in duplex, the machine runs like a champ! Very odd....any thoughts?

Re: Savin C4502 duplex jamming....BIZARRE!
Have had something very similar on mpc2800 - due to warped duplex entry guide assembly only done it on multiple copies duplexed on second side - think it is in a ricoh bulletin - do a search for it if no good come back to me and I'll try to dig it outComment

Re: Savin C4502 duplex jamming....BIZARRE!
Hi Peter,
The jam code is j018...We have replaced all the sensors in the fuser and duplex unit. Our next attempt will be to replace the IO board. We are thinking this has to be a logic problem since it only jams when making one duplex copy and not on multiples. We've got a lot of guys scratching their heads on this one.
Thanks,

It sounds to me like a timing problem. When you are duplexing just one copy, there is a time lag for the paper to travel throught the duplex unit. If the duplex unit is running slow when first used, the lead edge might not reach the fusing entrance sensor in the. Check for gummy bushings in the duplex.Comment

Will do...btw, when duplexing a single copy, she jams on the second side before the transfer belt in a classic z-fold. Registration keeps driving but the transfer belt motor stops. What baffles us is the machine runs perfectly fine when running multiple duplex copies.
