Hi all, looking to upgrade to one of the above options, currently have the Ricoh 5560. Anyone had experience on both?? Got any preference and reasons for choosing one over the other?? Any help greatly appreciated!
From an end user stand point the Ricoh model will be nearly identical to what you have now. This means little or no down time due to familiarizing yourself with the different machine. The Ricoh is a good running machine, we have several in the field and are happy with the way they run as a servicing agent.
I don't have any insight into the Xerox brand as we don't sell or support any at this time.
the savin2535 is displaying well bet the hiter lamp is not shining and the lamp had been tested o.k.please kindly help.
Samir: No, not again. I... why does it say paper jam when there is no paper jam? I swear to God, one of these days, I just kick this piece of shit out the window. Michael Bolton: You and me both, man. That thing is lucky I'm not armed.
I agree, as well as the 5560 runs, the c6000 has several upgraded components that should make it run even better. I like 'em.
And I know nothing about the Xerox.

The Xerox 5065 has been around for a long time. I last worked on one about 1997 or so. It was a great running machine for it's time. It is B/W where the MPC is color. The 5065 is analog where the MPC is digital. As long as the 5065 was well serviced it would go between 50 -100k between copies, the MPC should do the same. I think that it was one of Xerox's better copiers, but with the new technology in the MPC I don't think the 5065 can compare. That's just my opinion though.
Hi all, thanks for the info so far. I am sorry, I should have mentioned the Xerox 5065 is a Xerox Docucolor 5065 II. Therefor basically it is a 2400 tru dpi copier, the Ricoh is only 600dpi, so this is a major consideration for us as we are a copy shop who deals with a extremely varied range of requirements. We have had two Ricoh copiers previously and both have developed problems which can't be fixed so we have then been sold a newer model, then a different problem occurs. If anyone has experience with the Xerox, please give me your likes/dislikes...
Out of curiosity, what were the problems that couldn't be resolved?

In my point of view, if ricoh does not meet your expectations I would go to something like Canon, I don´t know what xerox is in quality or reliability but Canon seams to win when the customer needs quality almost final art work jobs.

I would have to agree with this. Canons full color machines are among the most troublefree that have ever been put on the market. Even the ancient CLC1000 we had as the office color copier (made from junk parts, over 5 million copies on it!) would run circles around any Xerox color copier I have seen.
I have a print shop that has 2 xerox 5065's and they do about 100-150K monthly in color on them. They work better than the Canons they usedto have. Volume is the key. Xerox maintenance cost is 5 cents per copy with toner at that level. I only have experience with the slower Ricohs and they dont work at all at that volume.
Thanks for all the input so far. The canons are not an option, Canon just don't have the techs or support in this part of the world. Xerox have both but we havn't experienced Xerox machines before. Ricoh have good techs and limited support but we have always used their machines. Shortly we will have both machines available to test out so I will post back with results. Any more info would be great too!
