Better use stepdown transformer for providing supply to machines .you can make it as a center tap transformer of 110/220v .

Stepping up the voltage is one thing and pretty cheap to do but what you have to be concerned with is the cycles. Here in the US we use 60 Hertz and if your 220V supply is 50 Hertz you will have a problem. A cycle converter is available but far from cheap. But if you dont do it, the AC motors will run just slow enough to indicate a jam and the lamps will be a little slower to heat up. The DC is not a problem as those machines use a switching power supply.
        Deal with the cycles.
