    MPC3502

    HI,

Nice feature to put a logo on the home screen, but . .
Can someone tell me how to put a logo into the this machine ?
Did everything the manual said, put a logo in JPEG, max 45KB on an SD card.
But when I load the picture from the operation panel in the mode "home adjustments"
it cannot recognize from the SD card.

Ther is not a special format for the SD card is there ?
Can It be done throught WIM

    Thanks in advance

    George

Use an SD-Card that is 1 GB or smaller.

      Good point.

For some reason, Ricoh is still in love with these tiny SD cards.

If you don't have one, you may have to buy a few online, as you'll most likely never find one locally.

I've tried it on an MP C3002 with a 4 GB stick and it didn't work. With the 1 GB stick I was able to load the picture.

If you can't find a small stick, the SP5200S MFP comes with an SD-Card with only the language firmware on it. This is also a small card. After loading the language this card goes into the pocket for future use...

Some model can use 2GB SD cards. To be on the safe side, I carry a couple of 512MB cards in my laptop case.

Print from and scan to memory device also has size restrictions. Sales people don't always tell the customer.

The SD card must be formatted with the utility from Panasonic, at least if you are using Windows. Windows default format doesn't work, apparently it formats a protected area on the SD card or something.

That no longer applies, Windows built in format works fine; as long as you format to FAT or FAT32.

On a similar note, we recently had a need to install an app on a few of the newer printers (not sure on the models right now) and even a 1 GB was too big; we had to use a 512 MB, which worked fine.

Has anybody tried partitioning a larger card to get a machine to recognize it? Seems like if you created a 1GB FAT32 partition from a 4GB card, the machine would see that partition and ignore the rest.

Yes, I have tried this and it works. I have used it on several models - old and new ones. But just in case I carry an extra 512 MB card to be safe.
