[Misc] Have you ever seen this problem on Aficio 2075, 2090, MP9000 series??

    Hello

We have a lot of 2075,2090,2105, Mp9000 by our customers, sometimes one or more of these machines have a strange image quality problem.......it's almost the same for all machines (2075 , MP9000....)
    see the attached file please!!.

the machine replies the image of the copy before, but it seems to be negative (black and white are inverted)......the problem occurs in normal and in duplex mode.....

It would seem that the machine's quenching does not remove the residual image from the drum before the new image is written to the drum. This would be the only logical reason why the previous image can still be on the drum.

Cleaning blade isn't doing it's job...that's cleaning blade leaking or cleaning blade low pressure on drum.
The print transfers to paper to some point and exces toner is supposed to go in recycling system but cleaning brush is dirty and full of toner so you get those gray irregular bubbles or areas on paper and cleaning blade lets that slip under and repeat on paper.
It gives impresion of negative print because toner already transfered on paper and leaves blank area where letters were, the gray around white letters is toner dirt that brush didn't clean.
Tighten the cleaning blade lever spring and vacume the brush.
Gears, springs, clutches, sliders, connectors and electronics...who on earth can tell what's wrong with it?

Make sure your techs aren't flipping the blade by turning the drum the wrong way during cleaning blade replacements as well. Also make sure they're using good setting powder and not used toner during PMs.

like i said, seen this before, and frequently... therefore we replace the transfer bias roller at PM1000K. If the problem persists, then change the entire transfer unit, depends on how long the transfer-unit is in the machine so far.The Bias roller costs twice nothing, the whole unit is quit expensive. And no, just cleaning will help for about 100 prints :-)
