Machine displays "waste toner bottle full" and my technician cant find it...where is it and does replacing it reset the message?

It is the waste toner for the transfer belt.
Remove the belt assembly and remove the springs.
One clip on the side and the belt swings up and comes off.
Empty toner into trash bag and vacume it out.
Reassemble and message will go away.Why do they call it common sense?
If it were common, wouldn't everyone have it?
