Every stuff inside is neat and I have checked virtually every dam thing mentioned in the service manual (encoder sensors and the rest, itb free with manual rotation)
I will very much appreciate if someone profer any possible solution to this embarassing situation please. Am just in a fix.

According to the Service Manual Ricoh just posted on rfg-esource yesterday, SC 446-03 is an ITB: Lock: Encoder 1 and 2 error. Drum motor, ITB drive motor, or PTR motor speed not within specs on 20 consecutive checks. Defective motor, harness defective or connection loose, excessive load, ITB sensors defective, dirty or smudged, ITB sensor harness defective or connection loose. Identify and correct the problem then cycle power. You might want to have the Service Manual on hand.

Most likely, you have a damaged ITB belt, or possibly a flipped blade on the ITB cleaner assembly. Either way, the ITB belt is not turning, fast enough, or at all. Both encoders are seeing the issue, not just one, so something is keeping the belt from turning properly.

        Slimslob thanks for your response.

I agree with you and will do one-on-one physical inspection to those suspected items and hopes to pinpoint the culprit.
I have the service manual already.

        Regards,

I appreciate your suggestion, the ITB is intact all through, same as its cleaning blade. In addition, I released the blade pressure on the ITB belt and tried 'Force Apply Lubricant' and the error persisted.
I then launched the output mode and tested the chief suspects individually: all 4 drum motors, dev motors, PTR motor; all operated correctly. However each time I tried running the ITB drive motor, the system shuts down to the same sc code (sc446-03).
Probing further, I dropped the ITB unit, removed the belt and checked every roller the belt rides on, all were free to my judgement. I coupled the unit, powered on and the error persisted.
Could it be that the ITB drive motor, the TDRB or IOB is flashed? Because the belt makes no attempt to change position, even when I moved its home position plate to the opposite end.

If the motor makes no attempt to drive whatsoever, I would next test the voltage going to the motor, when the machine is starting up. Since there is no physical bind, I think you are on the right track with the Motor or the Drive and control boards. Is there another unit nearby that you could swap parts for troubleshooting purposes?
