MPC 4502 jamming under the fusing unit!

We have a problem with a MP C4502 machine, when copying/prntng the paper will stop under the fusing unit. Changed already the exit/entrance sensors. Fusing/exit motor is working. Thanks for your help.

the input check on senors are normal, and also replaced some just to isolate if defective.

Start from the basics; check that the tray orientations are set to auto or manually to the correct value.

Do you hear any noise when it runs, The PTR discharge fins have been known to get bent and catch paper or make a paper shredding sound. Look at the PTR and see if any of the little metal fins are bent outwards if they are I usually just clip off the few that get bent.

If it's jamming just before the fuser, this is what I'd be looking at too

this is the same problem that we have and it was the fusing sleeve that is causing the problem.

Agree with counsel. It's the paper transfer roller bias plate.

Check the fusing sleeve and replace if necessary

also check the Bias Plate (the one with many metal teeths) located on the PTR.
