MP2852 hangs after copying 1 page.

    MP2852 hangs after copying 1 page.

    This machine has no problem when printing but when copying it will hang after a copy. doesn't show any sc codes on the SP Logs. any idea about this problem.thanks in advance.

          What about copies? Firmware up to date? a particular file?

              If that happens when you place the original document on the platen glass, either turn off sorting/duplexing on the touchscreen before making copies, or press the "#" key after the first copy comes out.

                  the firmwares were up to date. copying through the ardf and platen is the same it will just hang after a copy then shows processing but no reaction from the machine. we replaced the bicu but still no improvements.tnx for the replies.

                      Where is it scanning to? FTP? SMB?

                          scanning not utilized with the machine. they are using it mostly for copying.

                              ince it affects copying and not printing, I would look to those items having to do with copying. The IPC PCB and the lens unit assembly and SIO PCB in the scanner area.

                                      Hi I have had this issue, and believe it or not....Got Ricoh out and, t was a corrupted NVRAM causing the issue...NVRAM cleared then set up, not heard anything since that was about 8 months ago!
                                      The controller, HDD, IPU, Memory had all been replaced, beforehand.....
