    MP C6000 / Pro 550 Light Black

Got a customer with a Pro 550EX Black is too light tone it up and its fine for a while then back to too light. Odd thing is that you can run a job as processed black and it runs fine (a little pricey but fine) just about everything in the black unit has been replaced...anybody? Cause I got nothing...

Also does anyone know what made Ricoh think these things would work in a print shop environment?

If all the bias voltages are correct, most likely the toner density sensor for the black did not get properly set. You can try the following:
      1. Turn off power
      2. Open the front cover
      3. Turn power on leaving cover open
      4. Enter system SP
      5. Close cover and run forced toner for black
      6. Exit SP and cycle with cover closed

This should reset process control for the current toner level in the black.
