    richo mpc 6000 smears

Hey guys working on mp c6000. Two of them acually that have the same problem. Since two machine are doing the exact same thing i figure it must be a common problem with these machines. But i usually work on konica minolta, and i don't know this machine really well. Any way...... I geta smear top to bottom on the page, about every 6 in
it looks like a fuser problem, but i have narrowed it down to the black drum. I took one apart and looked at it no problem found. Any knowlege out there?!

It's most likely the drum itself, they give smearing when they're knackered. Ricoh say that they'll do 450k, however they rarely do.

With this in mind, follow the PM schedule for the PCU service but definitely do the drum.

I would first check the PM counter for the drum, charge, cleaning blade, etc, as well as the transfer belt, cleaning blade. If its close or over then its time.
