Ricoh Aficio MP C6000 - Diagonal fading stripes on black prints

    Hello Everyone,

I have a Ricoh Aficio MP C6000 that has fading diagonal stripes going through about 2 inches of the page. If I do a forced toner it goes away for a couple days then comes back.

Any help would be much appreciated!!

Do you have a sample? This usually happens when a dev needs replacing, or a dev clutch has gone.

No matter what manufacturer, that is a classic example of low developer; those void areas are the stirring rollers in the DV unit.
Because the voids are only on one edge, the copier is probably not level.

          HI,
I had exactely the same defect. To solve Ricoh Italy suggested me to empty the developer unit and clean inside it as deep as possible, then add a new developer. It worked! After about 200k pages the problem happened again. then i've changed the dev unit and added new developer....it' s working for 900K pages...

            900k on an MPC6000 dev - Now that's a world record!

Check the PM counters. The dev doesn't do anything like this volume. Your job starts here.

Hi everybody and happy new year!

I know that is hard to believe but 900k is the real volume of pages with the same black dev, there's no mistakes.
