    Aficio 3045 & Scanning with Windows 8

    I was reading some the threads regarding Windows 8 and Ricohs. Will the Aficio 3045 not scan with Windows 8? Or does the Special/Custom firmware help with that? NetworkSupprot v5125d LRC0466 SDcard

      Really? That thing is older than my great-grandmother. Just set up twain scanning or scan to email, don't even attempt scan to SMB on Windows 8 with such an old box.

          On that old a machine you have to use the Custom/Special firmware. The date shown on both rfg-esource and tsrc is correct for the Win 8 and Server 2012. I have used the Custom/Special firmware on a 3030 with no problems.

          Why they don't put it as a normal update I don't know. Maybe because it will never be used in production.
