    [Misc] Scanning to email

We use an Yahoo.com email address for most of our Ricoh scan set-ups. Of course yahoo is having issues at the moment and may have repaired them, but we are still issues scanning from the Yahoo address we are using. Is anyone else having this problem and if so, how did you get around it? We think that something has changed with the security of Yahoo email, such as changes to SSL. Any ideas?

    Re: Scanning to email

Yes yahoo is now exclusively using SSL encryption.....which means most all ricohs except for the newest will not be able to scan to email using a yahoo account. Check out gmx email. It is a free email service that still works without SSL encryption. The smtp for gmx is 74.208.5.1 port #25.........I have confirmed that this works and depending on the model of the machine you can still make it look like the email is coming from there current yahoo address.

First check if your model supports SSL. If it doesn't it's a no-go for your machine.
