    [Misc] MP6002 POSTSCRIPT OPTION

    Hope someone out there can help -

    A liitle bit long winded this one so apologies - have 17 MP6002 with POSTSCRIPT option to set up - POSTSCRIPT option always fails when merging scanner / printer app to POSTSCRIPT option SD card (has to work this way due to licensing rule within Adobe) - have spoken to Ricoh Tech , who is still investigating the matter / he seems to think it is due to a hidden file on the printer,scanner option preventing it being copied and thus merged onto the POSTSCRIPT option / anybody come across this before and have a way to get around it ??????

      If you have JAVA and DOSS merged onto the print/scan card you will probably have to unmerge them back to their original cards (stop any extended features running and turn off DOSS first), then merge them all onto the PS card. Not sure that's your issue but worth a check.

              Try merging Postscript to the other card, that rule no longer applies on the newer models of the Postscript card having to reside on the machine

                  Have tried all ways Print / Scan to Postscript and vice versa /unfortunately machines were set up as CAT 5 from factory so do not have original VM cards etc so reloading apps back to original cards could be difficult

                  Will hopefully get some joy from Ricoh Tech tomorrow - and let forum know what the cure was

                      Usually when a machine comes from the factory with print/scan already setup, the firmware is imbedded, that is there is no SD card at all. Make certain that you are not trying merge the java card to the PostScript Card.

                      Try the following:
                      1. Stop JAVA and all APPs for JAVA.
                      2. Remove all SD cards from the machine
                      3. Reboot the machine. If print scan is still functioning, it is embedded.
                      4. Reinstall the PS3 SD card in slot one and the other card in slot two.

                          if you need postscript card over print Macisntosh.I have solved without PS card.

                          4- hpijs install ( support 2100 printers).
                          5- set SOCKET HP JETDIRECT and Machine Ip number .
                          6- Set printer HP Color LaserJet 8550 hpijs pcl3, 3.10.6.15 PXL-PCL 3 yaziyor.
                          and Gestetner MP C2551 print A4 - A3 full color
                          System : Mac OS X 10.6 and X 10.8
                          Black is Kyocera , Color is Gestetner.
