What do you mean by RTB4? Tech Support Bulletin for this has nothing to do with SC345. Firmware history does show that the second production corrected for SC3435 "sometimes occurs during the initial paper feed just after the main power is turned on, or at the end of a job while making the ID sensor pattern". Of course, this is a PCMCIA machine. If you don't have a memory for updating, a PC with a PCMCIA I slot, and the software for writing to the card, you are SOL on updating. Since this was corrected on the second production run (Sept 2002), odds are your machine does not need a firmware update.
SC345:
Service manual says development bias output abnormal
Development power pack defective
Development bias connection defective
Development bias connector disconnected or defective
Goose's Guide says replace drum potential sensor
Check connections to the development power pack and between the development power pack and the development unit. Check/clean the drum potential sensor.
If you do not have a service manual for this machine, either get one or get a newer machine.
