Ricoh CL4000DN Yellow shifted off to right (mis-alignment).

After fixing a problem that required removing the laser to remove the laser seals (one came loose and partially blocked the laser for the Magenta PCU), I have a new problem.

The Yellow is shifted to the right by about 1 mm or 3/32 of an inch. I.e. orange letters have a yellow shadow on the right side of the red and pictures are blurry.

Drawing a line down the left margin of the page, the yellow is clearly out of line to the right, i.e. the other colors are not off to the left.

I am assuming there is a service adjustment and I have the Service Manual, but I do not understand how I correct this. It may just be the terminology in the manual, but I am reluctant to play with all the settings until I am sure I know which one.

Also, does the printer have a good internal test pattern for checking alignment issues?

    Thank you,
    John

Run a forced colour registration in maintenance. A good test pattern for colour alignment is the colour demo page in list / test print.
It's 106 miles to Chicago. We've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses.

    Hit it.

I ran the color maintenance adjustment as you suggested and it worked like a charm. Thank you for pointing that out. John
