This can be very dangerous!!! The thermostats are installed there to cut the power to the lamps to prevent overheating! Doing this can cause major damage to the machine!

    2 stats in series,
one goes open the other doesnt,
simply give the back of it a clout then peform 5810 in service mode

If you have Changed the Thermistors, and the Thermal Fuses if the lamps are ok then you have a power supply problem. Very rare but have had it when screw came out and shorted the fuser, blowing the power supply.

Actually, it kind of sounds like the part of the fuser casing that holds the rear hot roller bearing in place has broken.
There is at least one entire thread on that subject that I had bookmarked, but the computer the info was on died recently so I don't know where it is right now. Sorry.

Does the Hot Roller get hot/warm at all?
If it's cold and the lamps + thermofuses are OK then the fault is on the Power Supply board.

Is the Fuser Roller Original????, i had a similar problem with Katun Fuser Rollers, they was a little bit thicker that the original, causing SC 542+SC 541

If you've done a 5801 and the machine hasn't run a copy since, that's why all those SP's are at zero. You could just replace the lower fusing frame (B0274072 I think) and the thermostats instead of buying a new fuser.

    Should these voltages show 0?
If not, is this power supply problem?
This usually means a problem with the Image Density sensor.

Its easier to use blu tak to pull the face of the thermostat back into position.
That way you dont destroy the stat by hitting it too hard! (like I have in the past)...
Obviously to be used fir testing purposes of course! !! :-)

Sounds very much like upper fuser frame has gone this machine & others are prone to it !!!
