    [Misc] Fax Prefix

Does anyone know if it's possible to pre-program an 8 or a 9 when dialing an outside number on a newer Ricoh machine ?

      Re: Fax Prefix

I think it will work if you can insert some "pause" characters between the prefix and the phone number. I'm pretty sure that the dialing process just needs to pause long enough for the phone system to accept the prefix, and then the phone number should work as expected.
At least that worked pretty well when I had to use a phone card to fax paperwork to the office from a computer. A pause of two or three seconds between the phone card number and the actual phone number seemed to work OK then.
It has been quite a while since I've done that, but I seem to remember the "pause" character was either "*", "#" or ",". I think it was probably the comma, but hopefully somebody smarter than me can confirm which one it is.
