    Ricoh MFP Secured Print

    Hi ,

When users print to Canon MFP's on a particular site all print jobs are defaulted to secured print.
All users just go to the machine input the password and print their documnet, it works a treat.
Do Ricoh machines have a similar function, it seems more complicated.
    Is software required ?
    Many thanks.

It's an option in the print driver.

Ricoh has a pcl editor for print drivers. you can customize the driver , so you could make the driver only print securely that way.

So many ways to skin this particular cat.

There's the option for defaulting the driver to locked print. This is naff.

There's print driver editor to default the driver to locked print with a pop-up box for a pin code. This is less naff but not ideal.

There's ELP-NX, an inexpensive solution that sits on the copier using Java and allows all jobs to be stored and printed later using a pin number or Windows Authentication. It's cheap but a bugger to install and configure.

There's Equitrac, if they have money to burn. Nobody does.

So, what exactly do they want and will they pay anything for it?
