    User ID when using Fiery

I currently have a Fiery 7100 on a Ricoh MP C6000. Customer wants several people to be able to print to the machine but use a USER ID so they can track how many copies each person uses for color and b/w. Can this be done and how do you set it up. I have set up USER ID on the mainframe but when they send a job thru the Fiery it gets an error.

I think setting user authentication to user code would be the easiest.
Just restrict printing. Make an address book entry for each user and give them a user code with appropriate permissions.
From the fiery print driver you enter the user code under preferences > valid access

What is the ewrror?? That Fiery has it's own address book that you program via email commands. So the fiery has to have an account and email setup. RTFM the Fiery operators manual.

        Thanks mikedci,
That helps. I will look into setting that up in the Fiery.
