I currently have a Fiery 7100 on a Ricoh MP C6000. Customer wants several people to be able to print to the machine but use a USER ID so they can track how many copies each person uses for color and b/w. Can this be done and how do you set it up. I have set up USER ID on the mainframe but when they send a job thru the Fiery it gets an error.

Re: User ID when using Fiery
I think setting user authentication to user code would be the easiest.
Just restrict printing. Make an address book entry for each user and give them a user code with appropriate permissions.
From the fiery print driver you enter the user code under preferences > valid access -

Thanks mikedci,
That helps. I will look into setting that up in the Fiery.Comment
