    Ricoh CL7000

    Hi guys,

I wonder if you would be so kind as to point me to in the right direction. I have a Ricoh CL 7000 printer. Every print i do i have two large bands that pass across the page. Furthermore, the reverse of the printer has the same bands but a lot fainter with the addition of colours (link to poor print quality http://tinypic.com/r/v4nj2h/5 ). I was wondering what it could be. I was thinking it was the large belt but didnt want to change it unless i was sure.

    Any thoughts?

      Thanks JTD55,

I have looked at the PCS and they do have a band on them. I have pressed the "button" where the waste toner sits in and will empty each PCU. I have checked the transfer cleaning unit and belt previously but i may be inclined to change it tomorrow as i have a spare.

      Thanks for your help

Since you are also getting the marks on the back side, you should also replace the paper transfer as it is now dirty.

These guy's are right on it, only instead of just the belt cleaning blade change the complete belt cleaning unit. and since it's a printer, the color pcu kit should contain all 3 color pcu's.

Sounds about right. The trans cleaning unit isn't even cleaning the music pattern (yes, there is such a thing) off of the belt.

Well ive changed the belt and the cleaning station, changed the OPCs and it works a treat. Just need to change one further OPC as i can see a hint of yellow on the paper but they are pretty expensive.

You guys have been a great help!!

Glad you resolved your issues. We all appreciate the feedback.
I'm just wondering if you're aware that you can use any drum in any colour location? They're universal.
just in case you're thinking that you have to buy the whole set of 3 colours in order to replace just the yellow.
Just pop in a black one if you have a spare (or good used)
