Looks like developer is worn. Good luck, that drum looks very worn for 250K, and it is not a Ricoh drum. Generic toner will cause that also.

I'm going out on a limb here - non-OEM toner, correct?

I'm with the others..Looks like generic 'everything' causing your problems
Looks like those 'initial cost savings' are coming back to bite you, as they always do.

Check out SC log if there is any SC300 or SC 352 or so...bias related codes,if so change charge corona wire and grid,I'm guessing that those two aren't on 250k.
That pile under the drum looks awfully grey to me...I'm thinking that charge corona owercharged drum and he took out developer out of dev. assembly.
And take a look at that toner, even if it's for use things like this shuldn't happen unless perhaps wrong toner type was used.
Gears, springs, clutches, sliders, connectors and electronics...who on earth can tell what's wrong with it?

The main thing that I am noticing is the very definite excessive wear near the front end of the drum. What are the total copies on the machine. Normal drum yield for this model is 1,200K. This drum appears to be well beyond that. I would say replace the drum, cleaning blade (always a must when replacing the drum), the cleaning brush, and the filters on both the development unit and the drum unit. You may also need to rebuild the charge corona and replace the toner separation case on top of the development unit. If the machine has become overtoner, replace the developer. Open the front and turn the machine on. Leave the door open until after you have entered SP mode. Run 2801 to initiate new developer. Check that all charge corona and developer bias voltages are at default values and run SP 2962.
