[Error Code] SC901 on Ricoh2045

Hello Guys,

Good Day!
I would like to ask to my fellow tech on how can i solve the SC901 on Ricoh 2045?, upon checking on the SP 5915
mechanical counter detection i notice that the counter is not detected (0:not detected)
so what i did i took out the mechanical counter and test to the other machine and it works fine.
also checked the connection from the board and its all good.

is SC901 also refers to IOB? if the mechanical counters is ok?

IOB is where the voltage for the counter comes from

You can ohm the counter coil and measure voltage to the coil, the pulse will only blip a DVM though. The other 2 contacts only confiirm the counter is connected to the board, but can be checked with a meter. Ricoh mechanical counter 101.

Are you sure that's only level 101?
I'm very weak on the electrical side.
So if there's no 'blips'. IOB?

You better have a very good DVM to see the pulse blip the meter..............................The electronic counter is still in NVram...

This didn't really change much from analog to early digital's. The c series started to eliminate hard counters and the 01's and 02's really changed it........try to hook to a coin op..................
