[Error Code] Ricoh MP 2550 Jamming when duplexing Error Code J026 Single Side Works great

I have a Ricoh MP 2550 that only jams when doing two sided copying. Single sided works just find. Tried with bridge and finisher disconnected still same problem. The first side comes all the way out instead of going back in to do the second side and then I get an J026 error code. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. And yes I have the service manual.

Haven't got any of these my self, but found this on tier2.


[Symptom]
Wrinkling occurs on the paper sometimes only when using the duplex unit.


[Cause]
The front hook of the fusing entrance guide plate is bent.
[Resolution]
Replace the fusing entrance guide.




[Symptom]
Skew + jams from Duplex and Bypass.


[Cause]
Duplex Guide Plate deformed and Duplex/Bypass Motor defect.

[Action]
Replace Duplex Guide Plate (Section 4 item 14).

Replace Duplex/Bypass Motor (Section 6 item 9)

Add to that the actuator on the duplex junction gate being broken off.

Okay I will check the gate. The paper comes out with no creases, bends, it just comes out nice and straight. Thanks

If the paper comes out but doesnt go back to duplex my guess is a sensor is not triggered either a flag is broken or its dirty, it should trigger a sensor so the machine knows when to reverse feed might pull the covers off and watch a page try to duplex make sure everything actuates, i cant picture that model in my head but either a sensor isnt triggered or the actuator for the gate is not working.

Lower Gate Pawl (D3694664) broken, the actuator that moves it into position for going into the duplex paper path breaks off, so it stays, constantly, in the simplex position
