Replace the DV-unit Assy and the Developer.

You can try taking the bearing out and soak it in hot oil to see if that will free it up. The best bet stillmis to do what Eric suggested, unless your boss won't spring the money for the parts.

X2, they have a finite life. If the bearing is seized, that means that developer is leaking past the seal through the shaft opening that is rounded out.

D0092301 is the newer part number that has a coating on the mag roll that is supposed to reduce the infamous toner fusing to its surface (personally, I don't think it helps).

I have ordered those bearings and they work a treat. Along with scotch briting the mag roller every 150k and mcs work ok.
Networking skills are advantageous but use of a 3m vacuum cleaner is essential

I just did one of these the other day. It was a friday when it broke so to get them going i removed the bearing and popped the rubber lining off to expose the balls, took it to the bathroom with soap, water, and a bristle brush and got it free enough to keep them running for the weekend. I probably would have done a bearing but since the part has a TSB for being redisigned I went with the new dev unit instead.
