Kyocera b&w and thier desktop printers are bullet proof. It is super easy to make good margins on the back end with Kyocera gear. Not sure about the color nowadays as I work on mostly Ricoh. I like Ricoh color at 50 ppm or below as long as the volume is correct. Don't be worried. A box is a box. As long as you have a tech. support log in you can fix and maintain anything.

I agree with "logrady", as long as you have access to manuals, bulletins, parts and firmware etc you should be fine. Over the last 28 years I have at one point or another worked on just about every brand there is. Fyi I am aware that Kyocera B/w is very reliable, however the colour mfd's not so much - and always keep in mind as a tech you need service calls to keep you in a job. I am always thankfull when a manufacturer releases a model that proves to be unreliable.

I doesn't agree that Ricoh latest models is garbage, when introducing new models there are alway some difficulties to start with. These issues are often corrected with modification kits, better construction, better parts and so on...and when it's a new model you haven't got the experience and often say "really piece of sh.." I do that myself. But after a couple of repairs, it's really not so bad after all. I have worked on most brands, starting on Minolta => TA => Toshiba => Ricoh and I really must say that the Ricoh brand is my favorite, no offense ;-)

But don't worry you are quick getting familiar with a new brand, no fuss :-)

          Nice weekend to You all.
Please start you post with brand, model, problem.

I was with a company that had been with Ricoh 10 years plus, but they moved to Toshiba for financial reasons, took a bit of getting used to, but in the long run was good move. Toshiba was very supportive with training and field support. Two years on, I believe this was a good move, obviously there was a learning curve, but you soon get used to the new products, and the support from Toshiba is 100% better than Ricoh.

Best of Luck, hope it works out for you.
