Hey all
We attended a Ricoh MP1600 which had error SC-551. Checked thermistors and thermostats, reset the code and it worked fine . . . . . . until the fault returned later that day!
So we returned with both thermistors and all thermostats for the fuser, installed and reset the code. The machine worked so we left.
After the weekend, the fault had returned so we went back in and investigated and could not see anything wrong so tried to reset the SC code but it would not reset! Suspicious it was because the new thermistor may have blown, we retuned with new thermistors, installed them and reset the code - bobs your uncle, its working again until we get a call the next day saying it has errored out again!!!!!!
The SM states the next thing to replace is the PSU.
The machine is in a portacabin and was wondering if the machine is run on the same circuit as several electric heaters, would this be causing the fault to occur?
Please help!!!
